Time and a half means you are paid 1.5 times your normal hourly rate for overtime hours. For example, if your regular rate is £12 per hour, your time-and-a-half rate is £18 per hour. Our calculator lets you enter your regular hourly rate and the number of overtime hours worked, and choose between time and a half (1.5x), double time (2x), or a custom multiplier. It then shows your overtime pay and your total pay for the period including both regular and overtime hours. This is useful for employees checking their payslips and for employers calculating payroll.
